Bord du Lac Artisans embodies our deepest passion – a true manifestation of our love for the arts, craftsmanship, and ethical product creation. 

Nestled in Plymouth, Devon, UK, we are a small but vibrant business, driven by the dynamic synergy of a husband-and-wife duo. With a background in Graphic Design and visual storytelling, he is the Lead Creative shaping the aesthetics and branding of our work. She, as the Creative Director and Web Designer, brings our vision to life online while hand-crafting unique, high-quality products.

Our passion lies in working with natural materials — wood, wool, and wax —to craft beautiful, sustainable pieces. Inspired by the past, we incorporate vintage elements into our work, from engraving wood with a nod to the branding irons of old to using modern techniques that capture the same rustic charm while fitting seamlessly into contemporary life. 

We also bring this ethos to our candle-making, repurposing delicate teacups to house our hand-poured aromatic candles - blending nostalgia with the therapeutic power of scent; and our wool products, made from carefully sourced natural fibres, reflect our commitment to sustainability - choosing wool over synthetic fibres whenever possible, and opting for recycled polyester when necessary, or biodegradable synthetic solutions such as bio-nylon.

We take immense joy in collaborating with our cherished customers, going the extra mile to infuse our creations with personalised touches, making each piece truly unique and special.
